Ming, Yuan, Sung and Earlier CeramicsYuan to Ming Period Soft Chun Glazed Vase.A well potted Chinese Soft Chun Glaze Yuan or early Ming period pear shaped vase. The piece is coated with a nice softly colored glaze with a fine crackle. The unglazed foot reveals a soft brown to tan body.

Rare Sung - Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Chinese BoatA well modelled slab constructed Sung - Yuan Dynasty Chinese boat decorated with a relief stamped appliques and floral devices. The boat is coated with a nice creamy bluish toned glaze, the bottom is unglazed.
Qingbai wares were made in a variety of forms, most commonly bowls, vases and ewers. Rarer examples include grainerys, statues and animals. Boat forms are ever rarer still.
Condition: It is in fine condition and free of repairs or chips. On the starboard side their is a small hole "aft" caused by a weak spot in paste during the firing. This is not a break.

Sung - Jin Black Glazed YuhuChun VaseA very fine Northern Sung to Jin brownish black glazed Yuhuchin form vase. The unglazed portion reveals a finely turned creamy body. The glaze stops very neatly just below the widest point on the lower section. The foot is well recessed and bears an ol,d accession mark.
Condition: Superb condition, old bloom mark possibly from the making mark on the underside of the foot. No repairs or cracks, small glaze pop through on one side, very tiny nick under rim. {see photo}. The glaze is excellent and scratch free.

Chinese Tang Figural Attendant 8th C.A nicely potted Tang three quarter bust of a male attendant with deeply defined face and pronounced features. The lower edges have some spill over of amber glazes. The body a a creamy buff color and well levigated.
Bought at an Estate auction last Summer as part of a de-accession from a museum in Virginia.
Condition: Very good condition, free of any breaks or repairs. Traces of old pigment coloration.
